Commercial warehouse heavily damaged in Weber County fire

MARRIOTT-SLATERVILLE, Utah, Sept. 2, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Emergency responders from multiple agencies responded to a fully engulfed warehouse fire Sunday afternoon in Weber County.

Crews responded to the area of 1802 W. 1350 South in Marriott-Slaterville.

“While one team launched a fast attack on the west end, another crew entered the east end to protect the structure,” says a news release issued by the Weber Fire District.

“All occupants were able to exit the building safely, with no reported injuries to civilians or pets. However, one firefighter was treated for minor injuries.”

The scene was turned over to the Weber Fire District Fire Marshal’s Office for investigation.

Responders at the scene came from Roy, Riverdale, North View, Ogden, Hill Air Force Base, the Weber County Sheriff’s Office and the Utah Highway Patrol.

“We extend our thanks to Weber County Dispatch and all responding agencies,” the Weber Fire release says.
