SALT LAKE CITY – University of Utah football coach Kyle Whittingham has suspended senior receiver Cory Butler-Byrd.
“Cory is dealing with personal issues and has been suspended from our team indefinitely,” Whittingham said in a statement released Thursday.
Butler-Byrd remains on scholarship, but will not participate in team activities during his suspension, according to the statement.
The university shared no additional details.
