WASHINGTON COUNTY, Utah, June 2, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Two men who jumped off Toquerville Falls and into a shallow pool below were immediately sorry they did when both sustained significant ankle injuries.

Hurricane Valley Fire & Rescue and medical units responded Saturday to the scene, as did Washington County Sheriff’s Office Search & Rescue crews.

Please don’t give in to bad impulses, the statement says.

“Please refrain from jumping off of waterfalls, especially when you don’t know the depth of the water below. As the weather heats up each year we get too many rescue calls both at Toquerville and Gunlock falls for this same type of incident.

“Please stay safe while recreating in our beautiful county. As always, we will be there should you need help but would prefer if you didn’t need us.”
