SANDY, Utah, March 3, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A woman in her 50s was stabbed multiple times in a Sandy hotel Saturday afternoon.
Her daughter was taken into custody by police, Sandy Police Department officials said.
The incident occurred at the Extended Stay America hotel at 7555 S. Union Park Avenue at approximately 2 p.m., according to officials.
The woman was initially transported to an area hospital in serious condition but was later upgraded to stable condition.
The daughter who allegedly stabbed the woman left the scene, but was later located by officers and taken into custody.
Officials have not yet identified the woman or her daughter.
