Developing: Body found in front yard of Sandy home; police call death suspicious

SANDY, Utah, Nov. 20, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Sandy police are investigating the discovery of a body found overnight on the front lawn of a home at 8085 S. 1330 East.

Sgt. Jason Nielsen, from Sandy Police Department, said officials are investigating the case as a potential homicide and are waiting for a search warrant to go inside the residence.

Police added the body showed no signs of trauma or injury.

The 44-year-old male victim, who police say was a resident of the home, was discovered at approximately midnight by the homeowner, who called 911.

Investigators say they would like to talk with the victim’s roommate.

The victim’s name has not been released pending notification of family members.
