WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, April 1, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — An alleged intoxicated driver is believed to be responsible for an accident in West Valley City that totaled two vehicles and sent three people to the hospital.

West Valley City spokesperson Roxeanne Vainuku said the accident happened at 11 p.m. on Wednesday near 7700 W. 5400 South when a man driving a Dodge truck failed to negotiate a turn and crashed into a small passenger car.

“The driver of the truck was treated for lacerations to his face,” Vainuku said. “The two occupants of the car suffered several broken bones and are considered to be in serious but stable condition. All were transported by ambulance to area hospitals.”

Vainuku said alcohol is being considered a factor and the driver of the truck is possibly facing DUI charges.
