WEBER COUNTY, Utah, June 6, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — A family was displaced following an early morning fire Thursday in the Uintah Highlands.

Crews from several agencies responded and found the home’s garage fully engulfed in flames, the Weber Fire District stated on social media.

“They worked quickly and methodically, achieving fire control in the garage in approximately 10 minutes,” the post says.

The Weber County Sheriff’s Office used a drone to assist with heat mapping to determine whether the fire had extended into the home.

“The family evacuated safely, with no reported injuries, but they have been temporarily displaced until building officials can assess and certify the safety of their home,” the post says.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The Ogden, South Ogden and South Weber fire departments also responded, the post says.
