FARMINGTON, Utah, July 23, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — The Davis County Sheriff‘s Office has arrested a Farmington man after he allegedly exposed himself to two children while at a waterpark.

Camron Cafferty, 55, is being investigated in connection with two reported incidents of lewdness involving a child, alleged to have happened June 1 of this year.

Cafferty “is alleged to have intentionally exposed himself to two children in the park,” says a statement issued by the DCSO. “Cafferty again visited the park in July, where he was spotted by waterpark employees who notified law enforcement.

“Detectives have reason to believe that Cafferty may be involved in other lewdness cases in and around Davis County and has a history of prior lewdness incidents. We ask potential victims or those with information to come forward.”

Sheriff Kelly V. Sparks shared thoughts.

“Despite facing a traumatic incident, two brave young victims were able to come forward and help law enforcement identify an alleged serial lewdness suspect,” he said in the prepared statement.

“We commend them on their bravery and are grateful to our team of detectives and deputies who worked this case to ensure this individual was taken into custody and is held accountable for his actions.”

Anyone who has additional information on Cafferty, or is a victim or knows of a victim, is asked to contact detectives with the Davis County Sheriff’s Office by calling the non-emergency dispatch line at 801-451-4150 and referencing case number D24-11499.
