ST. GEORGE, Utah, July 25, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — A fatal crash in St. George began with a motorcyclist in a dispute with a motorist.

“The investigation into the fatal crash last night found that there was a dispute between a male driving a motorcycle and another vehicle,” St. George Police said Thursday morning online.

“This resulted in the drivers becoming distracted.” The motorcycle then ran a red light and collided with a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.

Both individuals on the motorcycle were transported to a hospital, police said, where the male motorcycle driver later died.

East and westbound lanes of St. George Blvd. were closed between the north and south bound onramps of exit 8 due to the severe crash Wednesday night. All onramps at exit 8 stayed open but the overpass was closed, with police asking the public to avoid the area. Investigation involved the St. George Accident Reconstruction Team.
