DRAPER, UTAH – October 10, 2015 – A semi pulling a trailer full of office furniture caught fire Saturday morning closing parts of I-15.
According to Utah Highway Patrol, around 2:30 a.m., a semi that was headed southbound near Draper when the driver noticed he had lost air pressure on his trailer brakes. At the same time, another motorist flagged the driver down and let him know his trailer was on fire.
The driver was able to pull over, unhook his semi and pull away from the rest of the trailer just before the trailer became fully engulfed.
Traffic was reduced down to one lane for most of the morning while the fire was put out and the incident cleared.
No one was injured. The trailer and its contents were a total loss.
