SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Nov. 13, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A former Park City Swimming Club coach was arrested October 25 and booked into Salt Lake County Jail, accused of dealing in materials harmful to a child and drug possession.
In September, according to a probable cause statement, Kent Allen Bonacki, 32, of Salt Lake City, had been chatting on the app Whisper with someone he believed was a 13-year-old girl.
He sent 10 photos of adult male genitalia to the person he thought was a minor, and one of the photos appeared to include a child’s hand, the probable cause statement says.
Bonacki admitted post-Miranda that he downloaded the photos off the Internet and sent them over the chat, the statement says.
It also states that a search warrant was obtained and executed on Bonacki’s residence, and he was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Bonacki was charged with:
- 10 counts of dealing in materials harmful to a child, a third-degree felony
- Possession of a controlled substance, marijuana/spice, a class B misdemeanor
- Use or possession of drug paraphernalia, a class B misdemeanor
