HUNTSVILLE, Utah, Dec. 27, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Huntsville firefighters fought a battle on two fronts early Tuesday morning, working to knock down a raging house fire while fighting bitter cold temperatures.
Firefighters were called to the home at 650 S. 7600 East just after midnight, according to a Facebook post from Weber Fire District.
The fire started in the basement, but the first floor collapsed soon after, forcing firefighters to battle the blaze from the exterior.
Fire trucks also had difficulty accessing the home due to a small roadway, and the post added that extreme cold temperatures posed an additional challenge.
It’s not clear at this time whether there were residents inside the home at the time of the fire.
The exact extent of the damages is not yet known, but the home is uninhabitable.
