WEST JORDAN, UTAH – August 29, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Around 200 pets are ready to be adopted at Petapalooza in West Jordan today.
The huge dog and cat adoption event for local-area shelters and rescue groups takes place at the Viridian Event Center, 8030 South 1825 West, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Callista Peason from Salt Lake County Animal Services said there are 12 different rescue groups offering adoptions. “There are around 200 pets, that’s 100 or so cats and 100 dogs, and we’re hoping to adopt out about 100 animals today. There are also chickens, geese and birds.
“We have activities including massages for people and their pets, cookie decorating, a pet psychic, food trucks, music and fun things to do with your dog. We want people to adopt local.”
