West Valley, March 10, 2015 2:27 a.m. (Gephardt Daily) – Early morning shots rang out in a West Valley neighborhood early this morning. Police were called out to 3150 West Parkway Blvd. to respond to shots fired.

When officers arrived on scene they found a 36 year-old victim who had been shot in the shoulder. “His story to us is that he hears a knock at the door, opens the door, there’s a male and female standing there, the guy has a gun and shoots him in the shoulder, said West Valley Police Lieutenant, Lamar Cox.

The suspects are both described as being around 25 years of age. The man was wearing a blue jacket with a blue baseball cap and the female was only described as having dark hair.

According to officers, the victim was taken to a local hospital with a single gunshot wound to the shoulder. Cox says, “There was a couple of shots fired, I know at least two.”

Officers state they are in the early stages of investigation. They say the victim didn’t recognize the suspects, but that there are still a lot of possibilities they are ruling out. “We are following up on all the leads we have and doing interviews on all the other nearby apartments.”
