MAGNA, UTAH – August 17, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) –
Police in Magna are investigating the apparent shooting death of a man whose body was found in the middle of the street near 9100 West 2900 South overnight.
According to Unified Police, dispatchers received a call around 3:11 a.m. saying a young man was lying in the street covered in blood.
When police arrived, they found the body of longtime Magna resident, Stevan R. Chambers, 26. They say Chambers, a graduate of Kearns High School, appeared to have died from at least one gunshot wound. The case is being investigated as a homicide.
UPD Violent Crimes Detectives are on scene and conducting an investigation. UPD requests that anyone who may have heard gunfire or may have seen anything suspicious or related to this incident around 3 a.m. this morning to call us at 801-743-7000.
