MILLCREEK, Utah, April 18, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — A man believed to have been on foot has died after being hit by a TRAX train Thursday night.
Investigators were still on scene late Thursday night after the incident \, which occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. at 2950 South 200 West, Utah Transit Authority spokesman Carl Arky said.
The man was struck by a northbound blue line TRAX train that had just left Millcreek, Arky said. The individual appeared to be on foot, but that had yet to be confirmed.
As of about 9:20 p.m. Arky said the patient had been transported to a hospital in critical condition. In an update about 20 minutes later, he said he’d been informed the man had died.
There were no injuries on the train.
A bus bridge was operating between Meadowbrook and Central point while the investigation continued.
