IRON COUNTY, Utah, July 17, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — A man has died after a fatal shooting in Kanarraville.
The Iron County Sheriff’s Office said the gunplay came Wednesday night, deputies summoned at 7:53 p.m.
The incident involved two males, according to a late night press release.
“Tragically, one male has been shot and was confirmed deceased. The other has been taken into custody for questioning,” the sheriff’s office said.
“It is important for the public to know that this is an isolated incident and that there is no threat to public safety at this time.”
Further details will be released Thursday mid-day, said the release signed by Sheriff’s Lt. Dave Mitchell. “The Iron County Sheriff’s Office is committed to providing the community with accurate and timely information as it becomes available.”
