SUGAR HOUSE, UTAH – July 30, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – A man pulled a knife on three people at a gas station and ended up slashing the side of their car as they attempted to leave.
According to Salt Lake City Police Department, the motorists had just finished getting gas at a service station, located at 2110 S. 1300 East, when a man approached the driver’s side of the car and began to ask questions. He then he pulled out and brandished a large hunting knife.
As the driver pushed on the gas pedal and accelerated the suspect slashed the side of the car causing damage.
Responding officers were able to locate the vehicle the suspect was driving and he was positively identified by the victims.
Michael Anthony Martinez, 26, was taken into custody and booked for felony aggravated assault and criminal mischief.
