WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, April 10, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A man is in serious condition after being shot Saturday night inside a West Valley City home.
Police were called to a mobile home complex at 1285 W. Thrusher Road (3015 South) at about 11:30 p.m. When first responders arrived, they found a 27-year-old man inside one of the residences with at least one bullet wound in the lower abdomen.
West Valley City police Lt. Dalan Taylor told Gephardt Daily the shooting took place after a confrontation inside the home.
“Three men forced their way into the residence. An altercation ensued, and one of the individuals entering the residence ended up shooting one of the occupants,” Taylor said.
The three men fled the mobile home park. It’s unclear if they escaped on foot or drove from the scene.
Taylor said all three men were believed to be armed.
Anyone with information on the suspects’ whereabouts is asked to call the West Valley City Police Department.
