OGDEN, Utah, Aug. 8, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A man who allegedly sexually assaulted several women under the guise of providing massage therapy was arrested and now faces several charges, including five counts of sexual battery, five counts of unlawful conduct of a massage therapist and two counts of voyeurism.

According to a press release from Ogden police, Hongwei “Allen” Yang, 46, was booked into Weber County Jail on Sunday after detectives from Ogden’s Major Crimes Division served a search warrant at Better Massage, 3651 Wall Ave., where Yang was employed.

Computers, video equipment and business documents were seized in the search of the business. Detectives also discovered Yang was not licensed or certified as a massage therapist in Utah, the release states.

Yang was interviewed by detectives and denied the allegations.

Ogden Police received the first complaint July 19, when a 47-year-old woman reported being sexually assaulted during a massage at the Better Massage parlor, the release states.

A second complaint, by a 23-year-old woman, was received July 25. On July 28, a 39-year-old woman and a 30-year-old woman each reported being sexually assaulted during a massage. The fifth complaint, on Sunday, was from a 47-year-old woman.

According to the release, all of the victims reported being touched on genitals, breasts and buttocks during a massage. Some of the victims also reported Hongwei Yang watched them undress prior to the massage.

Detectives believe there may be additional victims. Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Reed Mackley at 801-629-8497 or email [email protected].
