DELTA, Utah, June 5, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Officials in Millard County are offering a reward for information following a theft from a headstone in the Delta City Cemetery.
A Facebook post from the Millard County Sheriff’s Office said officials received a report that Oakland Raiders items had been taken from beside a headstone in the cemetery at 350 E. 750 North.
“These incidents happen in all of our cemeteries more often than is reported to us and the act shows a lack of reverence for the family members who visit their loved ones,” the news release said.
“The Sheriff’s Office offers a reward for anyone who can provide information that leads to the arrest and successful prosecution of those who commit these disrespectful crimes.”
Anyone who has information on the theft, or others like it, is asked to call the Millard County Sheriff’s Office on 435-864-2755.
