MAPLETON, Utah, May 20, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Officials tranquilized and relocated a young moose that wandered into a yard in Mapleton Sunday.
“We had a visitor in town this morning,” said a Facebook post from Mapleton Police Department. “Other than eating a resident’s shrubbery, he didn’t cause much trouble.”
The post gives a shout out to the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources for responding quickly.
“DNR Officers did a great job tranquilizing and relocating the young moose,” the post said.
Officials shared a couple of photos, one with the caption: “Officers Wolfgramm and Thompson with the sleepy moose.”
