COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, Utah, Nov. 23, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A motorcyclist was transported to the hospital in poor condition Saturday night after crashing into the rear of another vehicle.
Sgt. J.D. Tazoi, with Cottonwood Heights Police Department, said the crash occurred at the intersection of 2700 East and Fort Union Boulevard.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 60s, was eastbound on Fort Union, when he crashed into the back of a car that was stopped at the red light.
Tazoi told Gephardt Daily the motorcycle did not appear to be speeding — it simply didn’t brake as it approached the intersection. He said it currently is unknown if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
Tazoi said the motorcyclist, whose name has not been released, was not wearing a helmet.
