SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Aug. 30, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — New charges alleging sexual abuse of a minor have filed against a Murray man who made headlines in August of last year after being arrested in the company a South Ogden 12 year old whom he’d lured from his parents’ home.
Weston Ray Kubbe, 38, has now been charged with sexual abuse of a 16-year-old South Jordan boy who says the two met for sex six times between March and November of last year.
The other five boys Kubbe is charged with abusing are an 11 year old, a 12 year old, two 14 year olds and one boy of 15 or 16, according to charges.
In all, Kubbe faces 29 felony charges, eight of them first degree. The charges stem from his alleged meetings with six underage boys, who said they met Kubbe over the Internet.
The charges Kubbe faces follow, given in order of date the offenses allegedly occurred:
July 21, 2009
- Two counts of forcible sodomy, first degree felonies
- One count object rape, first degree felony
- One count forcible sexual abuse, second degree felony
March 27, 2012
- Two counts unlawful sex activity with a minor, third degree felonies
- Two counts unlawful sexual conduct with 16 or 17 year old, third degree felonies
March 1, 2016
- Five counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a 16 or 17 year old, third degree felonies
Aug. 1, 2016
- One count of sodomy on a child, first degree felony
- One count of child kidnapping, first degree felony
- One count of cause/permit child or vulnerable adult to be exposed to controlled substance, third degree felony
Sept. 1, 2016
- One count of aggravated sexual abuse of a child, a first degree felony
- One count of sodomy on a child, first degree felony
- One count of enticing, soliciting, seducing or luring a minor by Internet or text, a second degree felony
Sept. 28, 2016
- One count of kidnapping, a second degree felony
- One count of causing/permitting child or vulnerable adult to be exposed to controlled substances, third degree felony
