SPRINGVILLE, Utah, Jan. 17, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Sheriff’s officials have identified a woman struck and killed by a motorist Tuesday evening in Springville.
The victim is 42-year-old Codi Lambresi, of Springville. According to a statement from the Utah County Sheriff’s Office, Lambresi was struck just after 7 p.m. The accident happened at 1910 E. Evergreen Road.
“This area is a narrow two lane road that is not well lit,” the UCSO statement says. “The woman was carrying a flashlight but she was wearing dark clothing and the driver was unable to see her.”
Springville first responders transported the woman to Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, where she died.
Speed and impairment do not appear to be factors in this crash, the statement said, adding that the investigation is ongoing.
