WEBER COUNTY, Utah, Sept. 12, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A 30-year-old woman from Ogden died early Monday morning when the vehicle she was driving on State Road 158 near Pineview Reservoir hit a guardrail and rolled several times.
Weber County Sheriff’s Lt. Nate Hutchinson said the woman was driving a Dodge Caravan westbound on SR 158 shortly after midnight, when the vehicle swerved and hit a guardrail. The woman was ejected from the vehicle as it rolled into a ravine.
Hutchinson said the Caravan was the only vehicle involved, and there were no witnesses. One of the Caravan’s tires was visible above the ravine, and a driver passing by notified authorities. The first deputy to arrive initiated CPR, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the accident is unknown at this time, Hutchinson said, and the woman’s name is not being released pending notification of family.
