LAMBS CANYON, Utah, July 27, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — A semi passenger died at the scene of a crash on Interstate 80 in Lambs Canyon early Saturday after the driver lost control of the truck and trailer.
The incident happened at about 4:30 a.m. when the semi driver, towing a 53-foot trailer, hit the right concrete barrier of westbound Lambs Canyon.
“The semi detached from the trailer and rolled down the north embankment,” a Utah Highway Patrol statement says.
“The trailer remained on main flow, blocking all lanes. The driver of the semi was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The passenger was ejected and died at the scene.”
Gephardt Daily will have more details as information is released.
