OGDEN, Utah, Sept. 21, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — An Ogden man was booked into the Weber County Jail after police say he entered a convenience store, stole two packs of cigarettes, then brandished a sword before leaving.
Ryan Conroy, 22, reportedly entered the Quick Stop at 621 21st St. just before 9 a.m. Monday, took the cigarettes, then drew a sword and told the clerk there was nothing he could do to stop the theft.
Conroy reportedly left, but was taken into police custody almost immediately. He did not resist arrest, and no one was injured in the incident.
Conroy was booked on charges of aggravated robbery — use or threatened use of a weapon; and on a failure-to-appear citation in an unrelated case.
