OGDEN, Utah, Sept. 15, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A Roy woman was booked into the Weber County Jail after police say she stole packages that had been delivered to addresses in Roy and Hooper.
Augustina Eugenia Hinton, 34, was booked Wednesday on three charges of mail theft, two charges of theft and one charge of theft of service.
On Monday and Tuesday, police received calls about missing packages and a small refrigerator missing from a carport. Surveillance video from one residence also showed a woman unscrewing a porch light bulb.
Detectives identified Hinton as a suspect, and arrested her Wednesday in Roy.
More charges may be filed as police investigate other cases. People who have overdue or missing packages and suspect they were stolen may call detectives at 801-778-6631.
