SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Dec. 15 (Gephardt Daily) — A suspect who tried to rob a Dee’s restaurant in Salt Lake City Monday was foiled because of a language barrier.
Salt Lake City Police said in a press release the robbery attempt occurred at 2:30 p.m. at Dee’s Restaurant at 2104 South 700 East.
Police said a male adult entered the restaurant and began yelling at a female employee. The employee did not speak English and went to the back of the restaurant for help. Realizing it was a robbery no one came back up front.
The suspect left without anything and was last seen westbound on 2100 South. The suspect is described as white, with a beige jacket, a gray hoodie, a black and white bandana over his face and gloves. No weapon was seen.
