WASATCH COUNTY, Utah, Sept. 27, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are leaning toward a road rage incident in the death of a man found Thursday morning.

Officers were summoned around 11 a.m. to the report of a possible deceased individual near the Ross Creek Trailhead north of Jordanelle Reservoir, according to the Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office. “Upon arrival, deputies found a deceased male outside a vehicle on the shoulder of the roadway.”

Preliminary investigation indicates a possible road rage incident may have occurred prior to the death at about 11 p.m. Wednesday. Investigators are looking for a second vehicle involved in the incident, a Jeep Gladiator or Jeep Rubicon with possible front end damage, according to the Thursday night press release from the sheriff’s office.

“We call upon the individuals in the second vehicle to turn themselves in.

“The sooner you turn yourselves in to deal with the situation the better.”

The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and officers say there is no immediate danger in the trailhead area.

Anyone with information related to the incident is urged to call the sheriff’s office at 435-654-1411.
