WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, Jan. 28, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A man was hit by a vehicle as he attempted to cross Redwood Road in West Valley City Thursday morning.
According to West Valley City Police spokesperson Roxeanne Vainuku, the incident happened at 7 a.m. near 4000 S. Redwood when a man tried to run east, across the street.
“A vehicle travelling south did not see him and hit the man,” Vainuku said. “He suffered serious head injuries and was unconscious. He was transported to the hospital but he is expected to survive.”
Vainuku said the accident is still under investigation, but the man was not in a crosswalk and it was still a little dark at the time of the incident. Charges are uncertain at this time.
