SANDY, Utah, April 19, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — The Sandy Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a bank robber who struck on Tuesday.
At 10:13 a.m., the suspect entered the Zions Bank branch at 7620 S. Union Park Ave., then pulled out a gun and approached a teller. The suspect had a black semi-automatic pistol. He pointed it at the clerk and demanded money.
The man received an undisclosed amount of money and fled the business on foot. He was seen getting into a green Honda Accord or Civic with a partial license plate of “X57” before leaving the scene.
The man is described as in his mid 30s, and Caucasian, with a medium build. He was seen wearing a gray hoodie with the hood pulled up and a mask covering his face.
