SANDY, Utah, April 15, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are investigating the discovery of a body found inside a truck in Sandy on Saturday afternoon.
Sandy Police officials said an officer was patrolling the area of 10365 S. 1300 East, when he saw a vehicle parked near 24 Hour Fitness and Smith’s that appeared to have been abandoned.
When the officer approached the vehicle, he saw a man was deceased inside. There was no one else inside the vehicle.
The body has been sent to the Utah Office of the Medical Examiner, where an autopsy will be performed to determine the man’s cause of death.
The man has been identified as David Gordon, 44, of Sandy.
It’s not known how long the truck had been in the parking lot, officials said.
