HOWELL, Utah, Dec. 29, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) — An Idaho man was killed Tuesday morning when the truck he was in rolled on Interstate 84 outside of Howell.
According to Utah Highway Patrol, 58-year-old Jay B. Heusser of Preston was driving a 2010 Dodge 4500 truck west on I-84 near mile post 29 at 8 a.m. when the front left tire separated from the vehicle.
The truck left the road and went into the median before crossing both eastbound lanes of I-84 and off to the south of the roadway rolling several times down the embankment.
Troopers said Heusser had been wearing a seatbelt but due to the multiple rolls, he slipped out of the seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He died instantly.
