SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, May 5, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake City fire crews were able to contain a structure fire at a multi-residential building within 10 minutes of arrival Thursday afternoon.
SLC Fire crews were called to the fire at 130 S. 700 East, which has six apartments, at approximately 4 p.m., according to a tweet from the department.
Because the fire was contained to the room of origin, crews had the fire under control quickly.
No injuries were reported, and the cause is under investigation. The extent of the damage is not yet known.
The occupant of the apartment where the fire originated will be the only one displaced, the department said.
Gephardt Daily will have more on this developing story as information becomes available.
