SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, May 19, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — The Salt Lake City Police Department is investigating a stabbing in the Greater Avenues neighborhood that critically injured one person.
This investigation started around 1:30 a.m. Sunday with a call to dispatch about a stabbing at 1st Avenue and North C Street.
Officers arrived on scene and found a 32-year-old man with a stab wound. Gold Cross Ambulance and paramedics with the Salt Lake City Fire Department took the man to the hospital in critical condition.
“Detectives believe the stabbing occurred during a fight and attempted burglary,” says a statement issued by the SLCPD public relations department. “This stabbing appears to be isolated and those involved likely know each other.
“No arrests have been made.”
