Update: Police arrest woman suspected in 6 bank robberies Saturday morning

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, April 17, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — The Unified Police Department has arrested a female bank robbery suspect believed to have hit six separate branches Saturday morning.

Working from a tip given to the Salt Lake City Police Department, the UPD arrested Nannette Louise Perkins, 40, on suspicion of the six bank robberies in the Salt Lake Valley.

Perkins was arrested in her home in Taylorsville, according to a news release from UPD spokesman Lt. Brian Lohrke. She is suspected of robbing banks in West Valley City, Salt Lake City, Holladay, and Sandy. Both the SLCPD and WVCPD released photos of the pajama-wearing suspect over the weekend.

Perkins is being held in the Salt Lake County Jail on several counts of second-degree felony robbery.

This case is still being investigated by the joint members of the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force. The task force is a partnership of agents from the FBI and detectives from state and local agencies.
