MURRAY, Utah, Feb. 17, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A Subway sandwich shop was robbed Saturday night, and police are hoping the public may be able to supply some leads that will help in the investigation.
Murray Police Sgt. Steve Sanderson said officers responded to the store, at 625 W. 5300 South, at about 9:33 p.m.
A man had entered the store and brandished a knife while demanding money from the store employee. The suspect then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Sanderson said it isn’t known if the man had a vehicle waiting or if he ran off into the neighborhood.
The suspect was wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt and had his face covered with a bandanna, but he is believed to be Caucasian, and has a tall, slender build.
Sanderson said it’s possible the suspect is in his 30s or somewhat older.
Anyone in the area who has surveillance video from around the time of the robbery or who may have information about the suspect is asked to call police dispatch at 801-840-4000.
