Suspects wanted after theft of copper wire from Rocky Mountain Power in Vineyard

VINEYARD, Utah, Aug. 7, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah County Sheriff‘s Office is hoping two people caught on a surveillance recording look familiar.

The men reportedly stole valuable copper grounding from a Rocky Mountain Power substation in Vineyard. It happened sometime before 4 a.m. Saturday, the UCSO statement says.

“They stole $8,000 worth of copper grounding wire,” the news release says.

“The resolution in the photos is not great, but if these guys look at all familiar, please call Detective Holm at 801-851-4013.”
