SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Nov. 27, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Two people were shot Wednesday in an apartment building in downtown Salt Lake City and a possible suspect remains at large.

According Sgt. Keith Horrocks, Salt Lake City Police Department, the shootings took place at the Skyhouse Apartments, 308 W. North Temple around 11 a.m.

“Officers responded to the scene and located two victims with gunshot wounds,” Horricks said.

One victim was reported to be in very serious condition, and one was in serious but stable condition. Both were transported to area hospitals after lifesaving measures were performed at the scene, Horrocks said.

“We have an outstanding suspect, and at this time, it looks like an isolated incident. We don’t feel like there’s any public safety risk at this time.”

The crime scene is on two levels, according to Horrocks.

Gephardt Daily will have more information as it develops.
