UTAH, July 18, 2020 (Gephardt Daily) — Utah has suffered eight more COVID-19 deaths and 760 new positive cases in the past 24 hours.
The daily report from the Utah Department of Health indicates those who died were:
- A Salt Lake County woman between ages 45 and 64, a resident in a long-term care facility
- A Salt Lake County man between ages 65 and 84, hospitalized at time of death
- A Salt Lake County woman older than 85, a resident of a long-term care facility
- A San Juan County man, older than 85, hospitalized at the time of death, a resident of a long-term care facility
- A Weber County man between ages 45 and 64, not hospitalized at the time of death
- A Weber County man between ages 65 and 84, hospitalized at time of death
- A Washington County woman between ages 65 and 84, a resident of a long-term care facility, not hospitalized at the time of death
- A Washington County woman older than 85, a resident of a long-term care facility
Total known Utah COVID-19 deaths now number 243.
With the newly reported 760 cases, Utah has now had 33,332 COVID-19 cases.
In Utah, 456,240 total tests have been performed; 8,434 of them in the past 24 hours.
The rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 617 per day. The rolling seven-day average for percent of positive laboratory tests is 10.2%
Cumulative hospitalizations for the virus now stand at 2,014. At present, 185 patients are hospitalized.
Utah COVID-19 patients considered recovered, defined as still living three weeks after diagnosis, stand at 20,421.
