SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, April 26, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are investigating a crash involving a jackknifed semitrailer on Interstate 80 near the I-215 interchange in west Salt Lake City.
The crash occurred around 1 p.m. on westbound I-80 about a half-mile west of the I-215 interchange. It also involved a gray Tesla, which ended up on the right side of the freeway, Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Spencer Roden said.
The semi is blocking the right lane of travel on westbound I-80 and leaking fuel, though Roden described the fuel leak as minor.
No information about possible injuries was immediately available.
