UHP investigating fatal crash in Sevier County

SEVIER COUNTY, Utah, Dec. 12, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash in Sevier County.

According to an online statement on the Utah Department of Public Safety’s website, the crash took place Wednesday night about 9:08 p.m.

UHP investigators report “a white Nissan Pathfinder was westbound on SR 24 preparing to turn to SR 259 northbound.

“The driver of the Nissan Pathfinder began to execute the turn onto SR 259 and failed to notice a gold Nissan Sentra eastbound through the intersection,” the UHP said.

Both vehicles were heavily damaged in the collision.

The driver of the Nissan Sentra was killed in the crash, the UHP said.

The driver of the Pathfinder was uninjured.

The name of victim who died in the has yet to be released.
