UINTAH COUNTY, Utah, April 13, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A 67-year-old man is dead after an altercation at a home near Pelican Lake, and another man who was involved is reported to be cooperating with authorities.
The Uintah County Sheriff’s Office posted a news release on Facebook, saying deputies are investigating the incident that occurred just after 1 p.m. Friday.
According to the news release, there was an argument between the 67-year-old, who lived at 16177 E. 4500 South, and a 46-year-old man who lived on the property.
“At some point during the argument, a hand gun was produced and the argument between the two men turned physical, resulting in the death of the 67-year-old man. No shots were fired from the hand gun during the incident,” the release states.
The sheriff’s office said the younger man is cooperating with law enforcement and has not been charged.
The incident is still under investigation.
