MIDVALE, Utah, March 20, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Police have responded to the scene of a homicide outside a convenience store in Midvale.

Unified police were summoned to the scene, at 7728 S. Main St., and found a man inside a vehicle, shot dead.

“Right after 9 p.m., we received a call of shots fired in the area, and our officers responded very quickly,” Sgt. Melody Gray, Unified Police Department, told Gephardt Daily.

“When they arrived, they found a middle-aged male in his vehicle, parked in the Maverik (parking lot), deceased from gunshot wounds.”

The suspect vehicle is a black Jeep Wrangler hardtop with a lift kit, Gray said.

“That’s what we are looking for,” she said. “We don’t have any other details on that at this time. We are trying to develop those.

“So that’s really where we’re at right now — deceased middle-aged male.”

Gephardt Daily will have more on this story as information becomes available.
