HERRIMAN, Utah, Feb. 22, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Unified Police Department has concluded a neighborhood canvas Thursday evening searching for a missing Herriman man last seen Wednesday morning.
A tweet from the UPD said detectives and officers gathered at Herriman City Hall and conducted a grid search of nearby neighborhoods. The search will resume Friday morning, officials said, and detectives will follow up on information and tips.
Officials said Tanner Oblad, 20, was last seen Wednesday at approximately 11 a.m. when he left for school at Salt Lake Community College Taylorsville Redwood campus, which is located at 4600 S. Redwood Rd. He was last seen near his home in the area of 6000 West Intrigue Drive (13770 South).
Oblad is a high-functioning person with autism and does not have any severe medical needs, police said.
He left his house without his wallet or phone, police said, and usually takes Utah Transit Authority TRAX or buses.
Oblad is 5 feet 11 inches and about 145 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seeing a blue parka, blue jeans and black snow boots.
