LITTLE COTTONWOOD CANYON, Utah, Jan. 21, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Little Cottonwood Canyon will remain closed overnight until 8 a.m. Tuesday due to extreme avalanche danger.
A natural avalanche Monday afternoon had caused the complete closure of the canyon until about 5:30 p.m. when it was reopened only for traffic leaving the area.
Unified Police Department’s Canyon Alerts tweeted later Monday evening that the canyon would be closed overnight.
