Update: Multiple agencies extinguish new wildfire in Tooele County

TOOELE COUNTY, Utah, July 7, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Multiple agencies and early detection made fast work of a 2-acre wildfire Sunday in Lake Point.

“Update: Fire is out,” says a post issued Sunday afternoon by North Tooele Fire, a few hours after the Saddleback Assist’s 9:23 a.m. detection.

“No injuries or structural damage.

“Thank you to Grantsville Fire Dept., Utah Division of State Parks, and Bureau of Land Management – Utah for their quick actions to back us up. As well as Tooele County Sheriff‘s Office.”

“This is an example of what one spark can do in the extreme heat and dry vegetation we’re experiencing in Tooele County right now. Thankfully there were no injuries and no structures lost.
