UTAH, Feb. 9, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Department of Health on Tuesday reported 10 more COVID-19 deaths and 918 new cases documented in the past 24 hours.
Total positive cases documented in Utah now number 356,040, and deaths since the beginning of the pandemic stand at 1,748.
The 10 who died were:
- An Iron County man between 65 and 84, a long-term care facility resident
- A Sanpete County woman between 65 and 84, hospitalized
- A Salt Lake County man between 65 and 84, hospitalized
- A Salt Lake County man between 65 and 84, a long-term care facility resident
- A Salt Lake County man, older than 85, a long-term care facility resident
- A Utah County woman between 65 and 84, hospitalized
- A Weber County woman between 45 and 64, hospitalized
- A Weber County woman between 65 and 84, hospitalized
- A Weber County man between 65 and 84, hospitalized
- A Weber County man, older than 85, a long-term care facility resident
The UDoH reports 425,698 vaccines administered, which is 8,674 more than yesterday. The chart below shows vaccination numbers by area of the state.
COVID-19 tests administered in Utah number 3,498,912, an increase of 18,409 tests since yesterday.
The rolling seven-day average for percent positivity of “people over people” is 15.5%. The rolling seven-day average for percent positivity of “tests over tests” is 7.2%. The rolling 7-day average for positive tests is 1,095 per day.
There are 319 people currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Total hospitalizations from the beginning of the outbreak are 13,950.
